Hi, I am Barbara Jones, a Landscape Photographer of thirty years based on the North West Coast of the Scottish Highlands.

It is very wild here most of the time, which suits me fine. I don't like bland weather. I enjoy the fury of a savage storm, and a walk on the wildside with my camera and essential companion, my Dog Jock. Just occasionally it can be so calm and tranquil here you might think this place is Nirvana. A false sense of security until the next gale blows...another deluge begins and torrents of water hurtle down the hillsides. Four Seasons in one day is normal here !

Then a glimmer of light appears giving hope.......and Magic happens. I attempt to capture those fleeting moments of light with my Camera. Sometimes it is a long wait. Not such a bad thing to do while the Sun and Clouds play Cat and Mouse !

My work is published Worldwide, in magazines, on calendars and books, travel brochures and of course the Web, especially for sites that advertise Tourism.
